Don Whaley Hansen

Don Whaley Hansen
27 March 1925 - 28 March 1996

Don Whaley was born to Lewis Andreas and Mabel Belle (Whaley) Hansen of Cadillac, Michigan on 27 March 1925 at 7 am. He studied at Cadillac High School in Cadillac, MI, Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. He later taught Music at Greensboro College (1950-1983) in Greensboro, NC, along with his wife Jo Plum. By the time he retired, he was chairman of the music department. He died on 28 March 1996 in Greensboro at the age of 71.
