Archery Obsession

While watching The Avengers, I was reminded of my archery obsession in my teens. I had found a vintage wooden youth bow at a thrift store and later an old hunting arrow in someone trash. I would target practice wherever I wanted around my apartment complex. My favourite target was the metal bird at the top of the flagpole outside the main office. I had very good aim and never hit anyone, but was I insane!? I remember shooting that arrow straight into the air and catching when it came back down!

I don't know how I got away with it. If I tried this today, I'd probably be arrested. Or shot.
